30 MVCC student-athletes receive NJCAA Academic All-Region III honors

Thirty Mohawk Valley Community College student-athletes qualified for National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic All-Region III honors for the 2016-17 school year. To achieve Academic All-Region status, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The honorees are:

Baseball:
·         Michael Alesandro, Utica
·         Diobel Rodriguez, New York
·         Kory Lewandrowski, Sauquoit
·         Reid Johnson, Dolgeville
·         Joshua Duncan, Camden
·         Nicholas Consroe, Syracuse
·         Blake Altizer, Peru
·         WIlliam Witzigman, Camden

Bowling:
·         Barbara Stevens, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill
·         Joseph Mitchell, Utica

Cross Country and Track and Field:
·         Alec Ambruso, Utica
·         Michael Battin, Utica
·         Austin Cady, New York Mills
·         Ryan Griffin, Sauquoit
·         Brandy Torres, Ilion
·         Marissa Jones, Sauquoit
·         Kristen Slate, Norwich
·         Dalton Gorinshek, Little Falls

Men’s Soccer:
