$1,000 Gift to Secure Holiday Meals for Families
UTICA, N.Y. (Dec. 3, 2024) – YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) was awarded $1,000 by National Grid to provide holiday meals to the agency’s clients and their families.
“At YWCA MV, we believe everyone deserves to celebrate a safe and happy holiday,” said YWCA MV CEO Dianne Stancato. “This is the second year that National Grid has supported our efforts to make that possible for our clients. Thanks to their generosity, families in our residential programs will get a meal worth remembering this holiday.”
Every year, YWCA MV provides shelter and housing assistance to hundreds of families around Oneida County. The agency relies on donors like National Grid to support these clients and provide the most comfortable experience possible during their stay.
“Holidays are a time of coming together and celebrating and National Grid wants to do what it can to ensure that there is a hot, nourishing meal on dining tables this season,” said Alberto Bianchetti, National Grid’s Regional Director of Customer and External Affairs. “We are proud to support YWCA MV’s Holiday Meals for Families initiative. Fighting back against hunger and insecurity is just one way we help our customers address the challenges they face and provide a more equitable future.”
