YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley Welcomes Over 500 New Members

ROME, NY – The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is excited to announce
that over 500 new members have joined since December 1st. This growth
follows the renovations currently underway at the Rome Family YMCA,
which include a new cardio center, gymnasium, and indoor cycling studio.
In just two weeks, the personal training room will be finalized for one-on-
one and small group sessions, enabling our certified trainers to assist
members in achieving their fitness goals. This space also features new
equipment for stretching and strength. A functional fitness center will
also open soon, enhancing our offerings by providing equipment designed
for real-world movements.
As part of our commitment to making wellness accessible, the YMCA
works with various health insurance plans to accept wellness benefits,
helping to reduce costs for our members. This initiative allows
individuals to utilize their health benefits toward their YMCA
membership, making it easier for them to prioritize their physical well-
being.
Members have noted the positive atmosphere created by these changes,
reporting a stronger sense of community and connection when they enter
the YMCA. The new facilities are designed to be welcoming for all, making
it easier for individuals and families to engage with each other.
“I came to the Y because I was looking to get back into fitness activities. I
love coming here because of the supportive environment and the great
vibes,” said new member, Abby Reed.

According to Hank Leo, YMCA CEO, “The renovations reflect our
commitment to supporting community health and well-being for
generations to come. We look forward to seeing how our members utilize
these new spaces and the impact they have on our overall YMCA
community.”
