Niagara Falls will again be illuminated in the color blue on February 2nd,2026 to honor the 18th International Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Observance Day at 10pm-10:15pm. This ‘Wonder of the World’ illumination takes place at the direction of the Board of Directors of the Brown Byrd Foundation, Inc. and Utica native, President Kevin Byrd’s life’s work to promote Prostate Cancer Awareness Observance Day. Kevin Byrd is a proud native Utican and attributes his success the important foundations he learned in his hometown. “Hard work, dedication to just causes and service to those in need are all things I learned growing up in Utica. This recognition of my work means a lot to me. My grandfather lost his life to prostate cancer as have so many others. Death is a preventable when early testing, life style changes and care are given.”
Kevin urges citizens and friends to join the effort by lighting a candle, wear a blue ribbon and have 19 seconds of silence on the upcoming day….to remember the men globally who have lost their lives to Prostate Cancer.
