Free Concert: The United States Air Force Heritage Brass

Monday, June 12th from 6:00pm –  8:00pm at The Stanley Theatre, Utica

 

Utica, N.Y. (April 26, 2017) – Enjoy a FREE concert given by the United State Air Force Heritage Brass of the USAF Heritage of America Band at The Stanley Theater on Monday, June 12th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

Heritage Brass features the diverse talents of five professional Airman-musicians whose commitment to excellence has earned worldwide acclaim and military distinction. From Bach to the Beatles and patriotic favorites, Heritage Brass offers a musical experience enjoyed by all audiences.

Activated in 1941, The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band has a rich history of inspiring public patriotism and enhancing esprit de corps among all the US military service branches. These world-class musicians are stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. They travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, presenting over 300 events annually for the general public and in support of Airman morale and protocol events. The USAF Heritage of America Band remains at the forefront of communicating Air Force core values and preserving and enriching America’s military and musical heritage into the 21st century.

Tickets for this free event are available in advance and at the door. It is recommended that you reserve your general admission tickets in advance as seating for the event is limited. To reserve tickets come down to the box office Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 4:00pm or give us a call at (315) 724-400.

About The Stanley

For nearly a century, The Stanley has been bringing the community together with live concerts, Broadway shows, musicals, ballets, movies, graduations and recitals. Today The Stanley operates as a not-for-profit organization run by the Central New York Community Arts Council. Originally built as a movie theatre, The Stanley opened its doors in 1928 with 2,963 seats, a grand entry staircase that resembles the main staircase on the Titanic, a gold leaf interior and terra cotta and tiled mosaic exterior. Designed by renowned architect Thomas Lamb, whose remaining creations include The Stanley Theatre, Proctor’s Theatre, Schenectady, NY, and The Landmark Theatre, Syracuse, NY.
