UTICA, NY – The Tuesday Night Big Band is set to fill the Oneida County History Center
gallery with the vibrant sounds of a bygone era on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
The acclaimed 14-piece ensemble will celebrate the golden age of swing, performing popular big
band jazz from the 1930s and ’40s. Known for their high-energy live shows, the band will take
audiences on a nostalgic musical journey featuring iconic tunes from legendary bandleaders such
as Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Benny Goodman.
Formed in 1991, the Utica-area group features experienced local musicians dedicated to keeping
the swing tradition alive. The upcoming performance promises an unforgettable evening driven
by powerful brass sections, soulful saxophones, and a rhythmic pulse that echoes through the
historic venue. Attendees are highly encouraged to embrace the spirit of the era, get on their feet,
and dance throughout the show.

intimate, historic setting,” said Rebecca McLain, Executive Director.
The concert will take place in the main gallery at 1608 Genesee Street, Utica. Admission is free
for History Center members, with a $5 suggested donation for non-members. For more
