Tick Bites an Urgent Matter

If you or someone you love is bitten by a Tick…Go seek medical attention immediately! The threat of Lyme disease infection from Borrelia and Co-infections (Bartonella, Babesia, ect) must be treated with urgency. Contact your Primary Care Physician; go to Urgent Care or the Emergency room if he or she is not available. DO NOT WAIT!

As a concerned individual, but not a health care professional, I highly recommend that…If bitten by a Tick you must seek medical attention immediately, because that Tick just regurgitated an immune suppressing substance into your body along with highly sophisticated and aggressive Bacteria(s): Borrelia and other Co- infections (Lyme Disease) and time is of the essence to eradicate the bacteria(s) before they team up and take hold of your body. They must be treated immediately with the most effective Antibiotics, dosages and durations.

When bitten I suggest that you locate an ILADS (International Lyme and Associate Disease Society) Doctor also for the best outcome of diagnosis and treatment.  I even say go a step further and proactively look up ILADS protocol, and arm yourself with knowledge of the current treatment recommendations.

More often than not you may find your general practitioner denies your need for antibiotics, yet if this is the case do not accept that answer.  You may find yourself having to seek other medical care until you get the proper treatment.  There is a high demand and short supply of ILADS Doctors in our area and many areas for that case of tick bites…

As I learned over a period of time the CDC does not acknowledge of the complexities of Lyme Disease and it’s Co-Infections as a highly complex team of bacteria. The CDC only recognizes Lyme disease as Borrelia and states that Borrelia can be treated with one antibiotic for a short period of time.  The truth is that Lyme disease and its complex co-infections need a variety of antibiotics for a long period with the patient in mind.

ILADS doctors often leave their mainstream practices seeking out what is in the best interest of the patient.  These doctors understand that Borrelia is a highly sophisticated and social bacterium that has the ability to change/alter its cell wall to move throughout the human body. It can travel from the bloodstream to the nervous system (creating symptoms of MS, Parkinson and Fibromyalgia), it can move on to the brain impeding mental abilities or to the joints creating symptoms of Arthritis. Borrelia can move to your colon creating symptoms of Chron’s Disease and even to the Heart to cause Heart blockages or failure.

Borrelia is a Trojan horse a tick carries into the human body, along with these Co-infections like Bartonella and Bebesia which first regurgitates an immune system inhibitor into the blood to prevent an immune response thus inhibiting the body’s defenses.  It can also change its form into a cyst and lie latent in the blood, a form that Antibiotics cannot recognize nor attach, as antibiotics can only recognize and attach Live Bacteria. This cyst like form makes it difficult to recognize in blood testing. Keeping in mind that a general practitioner is limited by the CDC… Borrelia cycle is an approximately 4 week cycle therefore testing and treatment needs to be done by an ILADS doctor.

Lyme Disease is a complex and deserves your attention as it may affect you or someone you love now or in the future. Tick borne illness and Lyme Disease if not looked at more aggressively and seriously can become and epidemic.
