The World Through Our Eyes

Mohawk Valley Community College instructors Dina Radeljas and Rich Kelly will present the International Café and Conversation, “The World Through Our Eyes” at 5 p.m.Monday, April 3, in room 225, Information Technology Building, at MVCC’s Utica Campus. Admission is free.

The event will feature an overview of MVCC’s Kidz ’N’ Coaches Club, which was started 33 years ago by Professor Emeritus Jim Smrtic to provide unique educational experiences and opportunities for MVCC students to volunteer to serve as mentors to international and emergent children. The event will include a discussion and an exhibit of photos of MVCC students and kids in the club over the years. Student stories about “what this club mean to me” also will be featured.

“We will try to tell the story of the world through the kids’ eyes, our students’ eyes, and faculty eyes,” said Radeljas, who teaches sociology at MVCC.
Most Cultural Series events are $5 or less to the general public and many are free.
