The Tramontane Café is a Unique Utica, NY attraction
This place… Is indeed a unique Utica attraction. It is a café, a creative artist’s venue, a meeting place, a local spoken word and music expression, and a kindly playroom where all kinds of things – puppet shows, vinyl record playings, board game nights, unique clothing sales, and then some – all occur regularly, and have for well over a decade.
Oh, and the food! – from coffees and teas, to fresh baked muffins, lovely soups and sandwiches, with many choices on the vegetarian spectrum – All, will satisfy both your stomach and your tastebuds.
I would say that the word ‘Groovy’ best describes ‘The Tram’. The proprietors – Garrett and Robin – and their staff provide patrons with an experience that I perceive as a time warp. If you missed ‘The Sixties’, I imagine that places like this existed then.
The Tram has attracted people from many different communities, and is a popular hang-out. If you haven’t been there, you really are missing out on the fun.
