Dodge Pratt Northam Art and Community Center in Boonville is proud to present the work of Jennifer DeVenezia as its May featured artists. The exhibition, entitled “Snapshots Along The Way” will be marked with an Opening Reception on May 4th from 7 to 9 pm. The regular hours of the exhibit will be 10 to 4 pm on Tuesdays through Fridays. Saturdays, by request only.
Jennifer’s love for photography began in my freshman year of high school. Borrow her mother’s old Brownie camera taking photos of classmates and teachers. A self-taught, and learning all the time. Although she has favorite subjects (sports and nature themes make up the majority of her shots) she considers herself to be “photojournalistic”. “I bring my camera with me nearly everywhere I go, and capture whatever images catch my eye.”
Jennifer has exhibited work in several area galleries and art shows, including Rome Art and Community Center’s Regional Art Show, Cooperstown Art Association’s National Art Show, Munson-William-Proctor Art Institute’s annual Sidewalk Art Show, Utica Art Association’s Rural Life and Tri-County Art Shows, and various shows at Old Forge, Kirkland, and Dodge-Pratt-Northam Art Centers.
