The Brubecks At Home: A Film and Discussion Celebrating the Centennial of an America Jazz

Wednesday, December 9, 7:30 p.m.

Hamilton College at The Other Side presents Icon, with Monk Rowe, Joe Williams Director of the Fillius Jazz Archive and Lecturer in Music. Dave and Iola Brubeck were interviewed in their Wilton, Connecticut home by Monk Rowe, and videotaped, in 2001 and 2011.  The Brubecks shared poignant memories, now especially precious during this 100th Anniversary of Dave’s birth. During the discussion, Monk will offer reflections on the Brubeck legacy and welcome audience impressions of the Brubecks’ spirituality and their place in jazz history. This event will be offered on ZOOM.  Link for the event can be obtained at theothersideutica.org. For information contact Orin or Kim kodomenico@verizon.net.
