Their efforts reached more than 13,000 individuals in communities served by Price Rite Marketplace stores, reflecting a continued commitment to supporting families. Fighting hunger is at the heart of Price Rite Marketplace’s charitable work, and when paired with Feed the Children’s vision of a world where no child goes to bed hungry, it led to the creation of the Feeding Minds & Bodies initiative 12 years ago. With one in five children in the U.S. facing food insecurity, hunger remains a pressing issue in many communities.
“When we come together with caring partners and local communities, we can make a meaningful difference for children and families,” said Emily Callahan, president and CEO of Feed the Children. “As a global movement to end childhood hunger, Feed the Children is honored to work alongside Price Rite Marketplace and the Rescue Mission of Utica. Together we are helping families experiencing hunger and hardship get the food and essential resources they need most, so children not only survive, but can truly thrive.”
Since partnering with Feed the Children, Price Rite Marketplace has contributed nearly $3 million to support Feed the Children’s mission helping more than 240,000 people across the Northeast.
