She made the announcement in front of a large crowd of cheering friends, family and supporters at 72 Tavern & Grill in Utica.
“Today, I stand before you humbled, energized and proud to officially declare my candidacy for Oneida County Family Court Judge,” said Singe-Cully. “My dedication to children and families led me to Family Court, where I have helped people navigate some of the most complex, emotional and life-changing moments of their lives. As the Court Attorney to the sitting Family Court Judge, I work every day on matters that shape the safety, stability and future of children and families in our community.”
This judicial seat will be on the ballot in 2026. Current Family Court Judge, Hon. Randall B. Caldwell is not seeking re-election.
Since 2023, Singe-Cully has served as Court Attorney to the Hon. Paul M. Deep, where she provides comprehensive legal assistance and counsel to all cases handled in his courtroom.

During her tenure as a prosecutor, Singe-Cully handled thousands of cases and numerous jury trials, including prosecuting felony-level special victim’s cases like sexual assaults, physical abuse and the exploitation of children. She consistently collaborated with law enforcement to aid in the investigation, charging and prosecution of child sexual offenders.
Singe-Cully was introduced at today’s event by former Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara, who noted, “Stephanie Singe-Cully is immensely qualified to serve as our next Family Court Judge. I’ve seen her work firsthand to secure justice for families in the courtroom as an Assistant District Attorney. I’ve followed her work now as a Court Attorney and Stephanie has the experience we need to serve families across Oneida County during their most challenging times.”
Singe-Cully, 36, is a lifelong resident of Oneida County. She grew up in New Hartford and is a graduate of LeMoyne College and Florida Coastal School of Law. She lives in New Hartford with her husband Matt and their nine-month-old son, Rocco.
“As my husband, Matt, and I raise our growing family here, I am as committed as ever to do everything I can to make Oneida County as safe and promising a place as it has been for me,” added Singe-Cully. “With your support, we will bring fairness, accountability, and compassion to Family Court. Together, we can build a system that truly serves every child and every family.”
Aside from her professional qualifications, Singe-Cully has also prioritized giving back to her community. Among other roles, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Oneida County Bar Association and as a member of the Community Readers within the Utica School District.
