Yorkville, NY – The Steet Ponte Auto Group is proud to announce the success of its 2nd
Annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive, a community-wide initiative aimed at giving
local students a strong, confident start to the new school year. This meaningful event also marks
the kickoff of the Auto Group’s broader holiday giving efforts.
Thanks to donations collected from all eight Steet Ponte Auto Group dealerships, including
Steet Toyota of Johnstown, Steet Ponte Chevy, United Auto Sales of Utica, Steet Ponte VW,
Steet Ponte Ford Lincoln, Steet Ponte Mazda, Steet Toyota of Yorkville, and Steet Ponte
Nissan—we were able to purchase and assemble 504 backpacks filled with essential school
supplies.
Each backpack includes a thoughtfully prepared supply kit featuring a notebook, folder, pack of
#2 pencils, crayons, a ruler, highlighters, erasers, and a pencil sharpener.
Employees from across the auto group came together to pack and box the backpacks, which
are being distributed to elementary schools across the Utica, Herkimer, Frankfort, CVA,
Johnstown, and Gloversville school districts. Representatives from these districts will begin
picking up the donations on:
● Wednesday, August 20 at 1:00 PM – Steet Ponte Chevy
● Wednesday, August 20 at 3:00 PM – Steet Toyota of Yorkville
● Monday, August 25th – Steet Toyota of Johnstown
“We’re incredibly proud to support students and families in our community,” said Carly Steet

back to the classroom.”
