
(UTICA) — Sign up today to be a part of Kelberman’s 2024 Walk for Autism! The Walk for Autism, with Lead Sponsor Alex Carbone and the “A-Team,” and Platinum Sponsors, Baird, Birch Wealth Management, Human Technologies, In Loving Memory of Dr. Raouf Kodsy, Mastrovito Hyundai and Scalzo Zogby & Wittig, Inc. encourages friends, family members, school groups, businesses and everyone in the community to raise funds for autism support and services at Kelberman. Participants can either join us for the LIVE event, which will be held at SUNY Poly on Saturday, May 11 from 9am to Noon, or they can register to walk virtually, choosing any date before May 11 and distance to walk. All proceeds from the 2024 Walk for Autism will help provide support and services for children, adults and families in our community. The Walk for Autism will also feature an Inclusion Fair! Kelberman has numerous local businesses, vendors and organizations that have joined in our commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for all! These partners will be present at the Walk to share resources, activities and giveaways! A listing of some of the inclusion fair attendees includes: 4-Elements Studio, Be. Life. Art. Magic, Human Technologies, Kelberman Employment Services, Kelberman Parent Support Group, The Root Farm, Touch A Truck, Utica Public Library, Utica Zoo Mobile, Water Safari and the YMCA. The Walk for Autism will also feature inflatables and games, a fun zone, food and snacks, as well as entertainment, both enjoyable and educational!
Kelberman is an organization specializing in autism support and services throughout all stages of life. In 2005, Kelberman incorporated as a non-profit organization. Today, it supports over 1,000 children and adults, and employs over 300 full and part-time staff. Kelberman supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, fostering a sense of belonging within the community. Kelberman provides a variety of services centered on the person and their specific abilities and goals throughout life. Support and services include diagnostic evaluations, preschool and early education, behavioral health, counseling, home and community supports, an inclusive summer camp, and employment and residential housing options. Kelberman is also proud to provide educational and recreational opportunities to families and the community.
