Siegel’s “Poetic Tone Pictures” to stir imagination in Nov. 15 concert at Munson

Utica, N.Y. — Experience music that paints vivid scenes and stirs the imagination through the artistry of acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel in one of his signature Keyboard Conversations®, “Poetic Tone Pictures” at 2 p.m. Nov. 15, in the Museum of Art’s Sinnott Family–Bank of Utica Auditorium in downtown Utica.

In Siegel’s signature concert-with-commentary style, this program features evocative works by Rachmaninoff, Grieg, Debussy, and Liszt—composers who drew inspiration from poetry, landscapes, and dreams to create richly textured soundscapes that speak directly to the heart and mind.

Siegel’s will be back at Munson for one more performance this season. “More Music of Joy and Peace,” will celebrate the life-affirming spirit of music with radiant selections by Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Rossini, and Gershwin at 7:30 p.m. May 14.

Tickets are $30 for Munson Members, $38 for the general public, and $16 for students. Funding for Keyboard Conversations® is provided by Dr. Lorna Grant, Nancy Horvath, Drs. Douglas Hurd and Cynthia Parlato-Hurd, and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Menotti.
