Servomation Refreshments Supports StayStrong Cancer Program Cancer Benefit Planned for May 31st

(Oneida) -The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley, Oneida Health, and the KEYS Program have partnered to expand comprehensive wellness programming to cancer patients at the Oneida Family YMCA.  The StayStrong Program is a comprehensive wellness program is available to patients who are going through or have completed their active cancer treatment.  The program will offer pre-hab services to help prepare patients physically and emotionally before treatment or surgery and supportive care to manage side effects during cancer treatment.

A benefit concert is planned for Saturday, May 31st at the Capitol Theatre in Rome to raise awareness of services and funding to expand offerings to youth who have been diagnosed.  Servomation Refreshments Inc, of Canastota, has stepped forward as the Event Sponsor to make this benefit possible.  Brian Bruno of Servomation states, “there are very few organizations that embody the heartbeat of a local community like the YMCA. In a time where people have become disconnected from neighbors and local businesses, there has never been a more important time for organizations like the YMCA to fill this void for our residents and visitors. We are proud to support the Cancer Survivorship Event’s Benefit Concert this year. Perhaps there is nothing more that has touched the hearts of so many like cancer. To this end, Servomation and its employees truly appreciate the YMCA and continued commitment to bringing people together to support such an important cause. We hope others will continue to support our local YMCA and its leadership for years to come.”

Additionally, C&D Advertising of Rome, Entertainment Services of New York, The Capitol Theatre, and Preferred Mutual have also committed to supporting the cause.

According to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, “About 1 in 285 children will develop cancer before the age of 20.”  The benefit concert is designed to surround these patients with benefits such as YMCA membership for the entire family, music therapy, cancer exercise specialists, nutrition counseling and more. The YMCA, Oneida Health and the KEYS Program are committed to a strong partnership that ensures these services will be available for patients of all ages.

The benefit concert will feature extraordinary musical guests, including Dr. Doreen Ketchens, the renowned New Orleans clarinetist hailed as “Lady Louie,” and The Rising Stars Fife and Drum Band, whose genre-defying energy has captivated audiences nationwide.  Tickets are on sale now by visiting the YMCA’s website, ymcatrivalley.org
