SCI-FI HORROR FEST 2026 ANNOUNCES MASSIVE CELEBRATION OF HORROR, SCI-FI, AND CULT CINEMA
VERNON, NY — Sci-Fi Horror Fest returns August 14th–15th, 2026 at Vernon Downs Casino Hotel in Vernon, New York for a blood-soaked weekend celebrating horror, sci-fi, cult films, and the fans who keep the genre alive.
Bringing together legendary actors, filmmakers, special effects artists, vendors, collectors, and horror fans from across the country, Sci-Fi Horror Fest 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest and most ambitious event in the festival’s history.
This year’s lineup features guests connected to some of horror’s most iconic franchises and underground cult classics, including Friday the 13th, Terrifier, Troma Entertainment, independent horror films, fan films, and practical FX artistry.

The event will feature celebrity autograph signings, horror vendors, collectibles, artists, cosplay, themed attractions, screenings, live entertainment, and immersive horror experiences designed for both lifelong horror fans and newcomers to the genre community.
One major highlight of the 2026 event will be the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, bringing together cast members and horror legends connected to one of the franchise’s most beloved entries.
Sci-Fi Horror Fest organizers say the convention continues to grow each year thanks to the support of the horror community and the passion fans have for the genre.
“This event is built by horror fans for horror fans,” said organizer Dennis Gager. “We want people to walk into Sci-Fi Horror Fest and feel like they’ve stepped inside a horror movie universe.”
