The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley’s YCare Vacation Fun Club is a daily enrichment program that runs weekdays during the December holiday school break, Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Jan. 3 (except for Dec.24, 25 and Jan. 1), 7am – 6pm, for children kindergarten through age 12 from any school district. A Pre-K program will also be offered in Oneida.
The Vacation Fun Club is a safe and nurturing, state-licensed program that includes activities such as arts and crafts, physical fitness, science, character development, outdoor play, and special guests.
Vacation Fun Club is available in three locations:
- Rome Family YMCA, 301 W. Bloomfield Street, 315.336.3500;
- Oneida Family YMCA, 701 Seneca Street, 315.363.7788; and
- Whitesboro Child Care, 8595 Westmoreland Road, Whitesboro, 315.768.6712.
Special activities for the December vacation include:
- Monday, Dec. 23: Christmas All Around the World
- Thursday, Dec. 26: Snowmen!
- Friday, Dec. 27: Recyclable Science
- Monday, Dec. 30: New Year’s Eve Expectations
- Thursday, Jan. 2: Paint, Paint, Paint!
- Friday, Jan. 3: All Sports Day
“Our four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are essential parts of all of our programs,” explained Holly Panebianco, YMCA regional childcare director. “We value the unique personalities and potential of every child.”
Full-time YCare participants are free.
Daily rates for non-YCare participants: YMCA members, $55, non-members, $65.
($10 off for second child.)
Registered participants should bring a nutritional lunch, healthy snacks, water bottle, swimsuit, towel, sneakers, and outside play clothes.
