On Thursday, September 24, 2026, the Rome Police Department Special Investigations Unit with the
assistance of the Detective Division and Patrol Division executed a search warrant at 416 E. Bloomfield Street
Apt #4 in the City of Rome.
The investigation was subsequent to a New York State Parole compliance check at the aforementioned
location.
As a result of the investigation, approximately 76.24 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 15.84
grams of cocaine, packaging material, scales, drug paraphernalia, $8,518.00 US Currency, and a quantity of
ammunition were seized.
35-year-old Nicholas P. Adams of Rome is subsequently charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, an A-II Felony. Additional charges are pending further investigation.
Adams was processed at Rome Police Headquarters and was transported to the Oneida County Correctional
Facility for Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
