REMSEN, NY — The Remsen Arts Fest will be held July 29, 2017, from 10 am – 5 pm. at the Remsen Arts Center, 9627 Main Street, Remsen. The Remsen Arts Fest features local artists work for sale, free live entertainment, children’s activities, snacks & beverages, and more. This is a free event hosted by the Remsen Arts Center thanks to our sponsors, members, and generous donations from the community. The Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts is our Silver Sponsor.
Schedule:
10 am – 5 pm: Art Show and Sale inside the arts center.
10 am – 5 pm: Fun Children’s activities inside & outside the arts center.
10 am – 3 pm: Children’s Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest. Children 12 and under may draw their masterpiece with chalk on our sidewalk. Prizes awarded by a judge.
10:30 am: 11:30 pm: Youth fiddler Sterling Brownell on the main stage.
11 am start: Classic Vehicle Display in the back of the arts center.
12 – 1 pm: Singer/songwriter Melissa Grace Clark on the main stage.
1:30 – 2:15 pm: Vocalist Claire Haile performs a variety of favorites.
2:30 – 3:00 pm: Artist Polly Blunk presents a talk & video presentation on her life as an artist.
3:15 – 4:15 pm: Singer/songwriter Donna Mucks on the main stage.
Other activities are being planned!
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Remsen Arts Center programs. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
