Blueprints features NY Blues Hall of Fame members, pianist Dave Liddy and guitarist George Deveny, and the rhythm section of drummer Oscar Crandall and bassist Dan Porter. Harmonica player and SAMMY Hall of Famer, Skip Murphy, joins them for this show! Blues-rock deluxe!
Blueprints has opened shows for Sonny Landreth, Luther “Guitar” Jr. Johnson (Muddy Waters Band), the Nighthawks and more. Founded in 1988, the band released “House of Cards” to acclaim in 1993, and continues to excite crowds with their original songs and covers of blues and swing standards. Liddy’s powerful piano playing and Deveny’s explosive slide guitar work well together!
“I can’t get enough of hearing Dave Liddy tickling the ivories, none better in the CNY area.” – Greg Spencer, President, Blue Wave Records; Producer, Great Salt City Blues Concert.
“If you never heard George play, you should!” – Michael Packer (RIP), Director, NY Blues Hall of Fame.
They’re excited to be making their first appearance at the Remsen Art Center!
Opening act Brian Mulkerne is a Utica-area guitarist and singer-songwriter who has performed both as a solo artist and with the Brian Mulkerne Band. He was chairman of the Mohawk Valley Blues Society from 2013 to 2015 and remains an active member.
Brian’s repertoire includes songs by many early blues figures, Rev. Gary Davis, Libba Cotton, Blind Blake, Muddy Waters and others. A devoted Bob Dylan and Grateful Dead fan, he also covers many of their songs in his shows.
