UTICA, N.Y. (December 27, 2024) – Registration for the Boilermaker’s Erie Canal Races, presented by Wolfspeed®, will commence on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event includes a 10-mile race, a two-person 10-mile relay, and a 5K race scheduled for Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Boilermaker officials are launching a special introductory pricing period to celebrate the New Year. Runners can register for any distance of the Erie Canal Races for only $25. This limited-time offer will be available until Sunday, January 5, at 11:59 p.m. After that, open registration will begin, and interested runners can expect prices to rise to their standard rates.
“Creating new resolutions around health and wellness is a hallmark of the New Year,” said Mark Donovan, Boilermaker president. “This ‘Resolution Registration Period’ is a celebration of those who choose to take on new athletic endeavors in 2025.”
All races will start on the Whitesboro High School track before getting onto the Canalway Trail. From there, runners can enjoy an out-and-back on the scenic Erie Canal Trail.
Runners who register by Sunday, May 4, 2025, are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt, as well as a finisher’s medal. Registration will be capped at 500 runners across the three races.
