Progressive Americana Music at Kirkland Art Center

Clinton, NY – Coming to the Kirkland Art Center on Saturday November 8, the quartet of musicians aptly named Quatro will explore a range of musical genres, including  folk, Americana, rock and jazz, in their own inimitable way. The Syracuse-based band features Chuck Schiele, Heather Kubacki, George Newton and John Dancks. Their unique sound emerges from a distinctive blend of instruments, including the double bass played by Dancks and the pedal steel of George Newton, as well as Schiele’s unique instrumentation.

Band leader and native Syracusan Chuck Schiele has a long trajectory of writing and making exceptional music, starting out in San Diego with his first band, then mixing and matching with musicians along the way until Quatro came into existence in 2019. Described as “simultaneously elegant and irreverent” by the San Diego Troubadour, the band plays both Schiele’s original songs and wildly reimagined cover songs.  “It doesn’t matter what goes through the ‘meat grinder’ as I call it; it all comes out Quatro,” Schiele says.

A musical feast awaits those who attend this concert on Saturday November 8 at 7:30 p.m.! Be prepared for a “sound that exists somewhere between the deserts of New Mexico and the rings of Saturn” as the band describes it. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 students, $12 children.
