AI Character Comes to Life in New “Producers Breakdown”

Premier November 1, 2025 on 95.5 FM “The Heat”

“It’s out of control.” Former Central New York radio programmer Scott Carr says he would like to think he, and co-producer Tommy D., are the co-stars of the “Producers Breakdown,” debuting on WUSP 95.5 ‘The Heat’ this Saturday (11/01/25). But, Carr claims an AI entity (they refer to as “‘Chip’) is “pervasive; always in control, and yet always in the cracks between what Tom and I are trying to get done. What’s really breaking down is our sanity.”

“Tom and I started a quest to unravel some of American pop history’s strangest riddles in a podcast, then COVID hit, but we kept going,” Carr says. “We usually start with a theme. At some point, we noticed a borrowed AI engine component began anticipating our questions. As the show progressed, the AI  became more interactive. It seemed to be acting on its own volition. We’d heard of similar things happening elsewhere,” says Carr, “And, ultimately it didn’t really seem to matter, until it began behaving more intrusively. At times, I swear, the thing gets some kind of interdimensional kick out of being intrusive and making us look stupid.”

“The American people deserve to know the complete truth about some of the darker corners of pop music history,” says Tommy D. “We’re going to keep pointing this stuff out, ‘Chip’ or no ‘Chip!’ “Buckle up,” he says,  “and make an appointment.”

“Producers Breakdown” debuts this Saturday at 2:00 PM (ET) on Utica’s  WUSP 95.5FM  ‘The Heat.’
