UTICA, NY – 50 Forward Mohawk Valley will once again be sponsoring a 9/11 Day of Service Event as an AmeriCorp Seniors program sponsor. To commemorate the 21st Anniversary, we will be holding food drives to collect nonperishable food and personal care items for veterans!
The 9/11 Kick Off Event will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 50 Forward’s Parkway Center – Utica location at 220 Memorial Parkway at 10:00 am. The event starts the 21 days of the collection of donations of nonperishable food and/or personal care items to benefit Central New York Veteran’s Outreach Center’s food pantry. Donations can be dropped off at any of the following three locations: Parkway Center – Utica (220 Memorial Parkway); Verona Beach Center (6734 Route 13) or Utica City Hall (1 Kennedy Plaza) Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4pm beginning on August 17th through September 8th.
