Popular Speed-Dating Event Returns to Utica Zoo

 

Back by popular demand, the Utica Zoo has returned with another Meet Your Mate speed
dating event, this time extending sequences for even more opportunities for everyone to tha  their hearts out during this cold season!

Here’s the scoop for their Thaw Your Heart Out series: singles will rotate through several
quick and lively mini-dates within a romantic, wintery atmosphere. They’ll have just a few
minutes to chat, laugh, and see if there’s chemistry before moving on to their next potential match. At the end, guests can mark down their favorites using the materials provided by the zoo—matches will be contacted by the zoo after the event.

Event Highlights:

 General Zoo Admission
 Organized, fast-paced “mini-dates” to keep the night fun and lively
 Complimentary refreshments and snacks to keep energy up
 A chance for individuals to find their purr-fect match in a truly wild setting
Sunday, February 15 th Schedule:
 9am-12pm for 35-50 years of age individuals (mimosas, anyone)?
 1-4pm for 28-38 years of age individuals
 5-8pm for 21-30 years of age individuals

(You may notice that some of these age groups above overlap…if someone’s age falls within
the mix, they have the option to choose to attend the younger or older age group depending on their preferences…or can even attend both events)! Lucky them!
For only $35 a ticket, whether they meet the love of their life or just make some new
friends, guests at the second Meet Your Mate speed dating event will surely leave with a
smile—and maybe even butterflies. No single should miss their chance to thaw their heart out at this signature Utica Zoo event!

The Utica Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is the Best of
Mohawk Valley Community Choice Award Winner for 2025. It is a regional destination that
inspires and promotes the appreciation of wildlife through education, conservation, and
recreation. Situated in the heart of Central New York, the zoo features a diverse collection of animals from around the world and offers various educational programs and events for visitors of all ages. It is home to approximately 200 exotic and domestic animals, welcoming nearly 100,000 visitors annually and is open daily from 10 am to 4:30 pm 363 days a year, with only the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
