Peter Bogdanovich, Oscar-nominated director, dies at 82

Peter Bogdanovich, the director of 1970s black-and-white classics like “The Last Picture Show” and “Paper Moon,” has died. Considered part of a generation of young “New Hollywood” directors, Bogdanovich earned eight Oscar nods for “The Last Picture Show” in 1971. The director died early Thursday morning at his home in Los Angeles. He was 82. (Jan. 6)
