Parents and Professionals Invited to Virtual Cannabis Edibles Safety Training

[Madison County, NY] As Halloween approaches, parents and professionals are encouraged to attend a crucial training session on cannabis edibles safety, scheduled for October 24th from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM via Zoom.
This informative event aims to equip attendees with essential knowledge to keep children safe during the trick-or-treating season. This training is being hosted by the Community Prevention Collaborative of Madison County and information will be presented by the Upstate New York Poison Center. In recent years, the rise of cannabis edibles has raised concerns about unintentional ingestion, particularly among children. With Halloween just around the corner, this training will address the importance of recognizing packaging that may resemble traditional candy and understanding the risks associated with cannabis products.
