The potentially deadly EEE virus continues to pop-up in mosquito pools all across the region, meaning more aerial spraying is happening. The next round is planned for Oswego County later this week.
The county health department says approximately 12,000 acres across the towns of Palermo, Mexico and Hastings will be sprayed Thursday.
Residents within those areas are asked to stay indoors and keep windows and doors shut from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at night. The health department will be sending out alerts to people who live in these areas before the spraying begins.
