Utica, NY—The public is invited to attend a free Opening Reception on Friday, September 20 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at 4 Elements Studio, 730 Broadway, Utica. This opening reception will feature local painter and multimedia artist Rosette Schureman. Her work will be on view and available for purchase through November 10.
Born in Princeton, New Jersey, Rosette Schureman came to Central New York to attend Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute and received her Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University. Rosette currently lives in Barneveld, where she works on her family farm and maintains her painting and printmaking studios.
Inspired by natural objects and landscapes, Rosette incorporates organic materials and pieces of her digital photography into her paintings and collages, along with rice paper, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels.
