Onondaga County will hold a COVID-19 test distribution Friday at the Orange Lot of the New York State Fairgrounds.
County Executive Ryan McMahon’s office says there will be 8,000 tests given out, with a limit of two kits per car. The drive-thru event will take place from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., or until supplies are gone. Drivers are asked not to arrive before 11 a.m.
“While we know that the vaccine and booster continue to be the best form of protection against COVID-19, we must also remain vigilant about testing and identifying the virus. With this latest shipment of tests, our team in Emergency Management has mobilized a drivethru site at the Orange Lot to get tests out into our community as quickly as possible.” McMahon said. “As more tests are made available, we will continue to work with our local partners and our Emergency Management team to distribute them quickly and efficiently.”
