SYRACUSE, N.Y. — August 2026 — On Point for College is pleased to announce the appointment of Viki Redding,
CFRE, as its new Director of Development. A seasoned nonprofit fundraising professional with more than a
decade of experience, Redding brings a proven record of building meaningful donor relationships, leading
strategic fundraising initiatives and helping mission-driven organizations expand their impact.
Viki joins On Point at an exciting time as the organization continues to grow its impact across Central New York,
the Mohawk Valley, and rural communities throughout the region while advancing its Fueling Futures Campaign,
a long-term effort to strengthen college access, career readiness, and economic mobility for students.
In her new role, she will lead the organization’s comprehensive development strategy, overseeing major gifts,
annual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, planned giving, donor stewardship, fundraising events,
grants and development communications. Viki will also help advance the Fueling Futures Campaign and work
closely with organizational leadership, the Board of Directors, Managers, staff, volunteers, donors and
community partners to build sustainable philanthropic support for On Point’s future.
Throughout her career, she has helped nonprofit organizations strengthen fundraising programs by connecting
donors with missions that create meaningful and lasting change. Most recently, she served as Director of
Development for Sky’s the Limit Fund, where she led a $2 million annual fundraising program, managed
relationships with more than 100 major donors and partners and helped achieve year-over-year revenue growth
through strategic cultivation and stewardship.
Redding has also held development leadership positions with organizations serving children, families and
individuals facing significant barriers. Her experience spans major gifts, donor stewardship, strategic
partnerships, integrated fundraising campaigns and nonprofit communications. She is a Certified Fund Raising
Executive (CFRE), a credential recognizing professional knowledge, ethical practice and commitment to the
fundraising profession.
For Viki, fundraising has always been about more than financial support.
“Great fundraising is about connecting people with a purpose they care deeply about,” Viki said. “When donors
understand the difference they can make, generosity becomes more than a gift. It becomes an investment in
opportunity and in someone’s future.”
That philosophy is also what drew her to On Point for College.
Throughout her nonprofit career, she has worked alongside families experiencing homelessness, women who
had aged out of foster care or lost parental support, and young people navigating significant life challenges.
Those experiences strengthened her belief that access to guidance, encouragement and the right resources can
change the direction of a person’s life.
Reflecting on her own son’s educational journey, Redding said she often thought about what young people might
do without someone to help guide them through important decisions. She saw that same need reflected in On
Point’s work: surrounding students with trusted support, helping them navigate complex educational pathways
and encouraging them to recognize the talents and potential already within them.
“What drew me to On Point is the opportunity to help young people discover the talents that lie within them
and connect them with the resources they need to succeed,” Viki said. “Sometimes the right support can help a
student see possibilities they may not have realized were available to them.”
She also believes education remains one of the most lasting investments a person can make.
“Education is something no one can take away from you,” she said. “It stays with you throughout your life,
supports you in whatever career you choose and reminds you that you can accomplish great things through hard
work. I hope my work at On Point helps fund the programs and build the partnerships that empower more young
people to pursue their dreams.”
Her approach to development is grounded in three principles she considers essential to strong, lasting
relationships with donors and community partners: trust, transparency and impact.
“Our supporters believe in On Point’s mission and in the potential of our students,” Viki said. “We have a
responsibility to be thoughtful stewards of every gift, to communicate clearly about its impact and to use those
resources in ways that create the greatest possible opportunities for the students we serve.”

Redding’s appointment reflects On Point’s continued investment in the philanthropic partnerships that make its
work possible. Her leadership will help deepen engagement with individuals, foundations, corporations and
community partners while strengthening the organization’s long-term fundraising strategy and capacity to
support students through college, career training and the transition into meaningful employment.
