North Carolina teacher raised more than $100,000 to purchase enough

A North Carolina teacher has made it her mission to help feed children during the two week winter break. At the gym at Lakewood Elementary in Durham, NC, Turquoise Lejeune Parker packed up bags of food purchased with donations from the community. Parker will give these bags to every single student at the school and multiple near-by schools, to ensure they will be fed throughout the two-week break.
