NO KINGS! Utica, Rome, and Herkimer Join Nationwide Day of Action!

No Kings Protests Return on Saturday, October 18

President Trump Continues Authoritarian Actions and Power Grabs;

Thousands of Actions Planned

Utica N.Y. – On Saturday, October 18th, residents across the Mohawk Valley will come together with millions of Americans across the country in a nationwide day of nonviolent protest at the second No Kings Day of Action. There are currently more than 2000 events nationwide, and numbers are growing. Local No Kings Rallies will include Utica, Rome, and Herkimer. On June 14, more than five million people across all 50 states joined No Kings in the largest single-day protest yet against President Trump’s authoritarianism. The October 18 day of action is the next step in this growing movement, channeling that energy into yet another coordinated, peaceful mobilization. 

The Utica, Rome, and Herkimer No Kings rallies are sponsored by Indivisible Mohawk Valley and co-sponsored by 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, League of Women Voters Utica-Rome Metropolitan Area, NAACP Oneida County/Utica Branch, NAACP Rome Branch, Oneida County Democratic Committee, Rome Democratic Committee, Oneida County Pride Association, Oneida County Democratic Women’s Club. 

All No Kings events are dedicated to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are instructed in de-escalation and are working with local partners to ensure peaceful and powerful actions nationwide.
