NEHA retreat & Wednesday October 2nd, from 6-7pm Plant Walk

The Northeast Herbal Association (NEHA) will be holding its annual
retreat this November 8-10th in Margaretville, NY.

Each year, NEHA plans a retreat in order to connect, get inspired, and
learn from one another. While the are a number of workshops and a
keynote speaker, the retreat is different from a typical herbal
conference in that it is just that, a retreat. We intentionally create a
weekend of learning, connection, and fun that feels spacious,
rejuvenating, and inspiring. There are various classes and activities; a
keynote address; plant walks; ‘Free Thyme’ to enjoy each other and the
grounds; cordial hour; space to buy, sell, or trade goods; HERBS Bingo
(with prizes); and more!

I will be teaching all about my favorite herbal ally, Yarrow (Achillea
millefolium) alongside a great group of other herbalists teaching
various topics. This year’s teachers are: Marita A Orr of The Seabiscuit
Inn and Herbary, Helen Ward of Three Springs Farm of Vermont (Keynote),
Andrea & Matthias Reisen of Healing Spirits Herb Farm & Education
Center, Barbara Aspland-Wolf of Garden Gate Herbals, Hillary-Joy
Pitoniak of Ouroboros Botanical & Healing Arts, and Gayle Gineo Nogas of
Gayle’s Thyme Herbal Apothecary.

Registration includes:

Workshops, classes, & activities
2 nights lodging in the guest house (Friday & Saturday)
Lovingly prepared meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch)
Access to Blue Deer Center’s spectacular grounds with gardens,
relaxation areas (both indoors & out), and hiking trails along the
Saskawhihiwine River
