NBT Stadium resumes mobile testing for students, teachers

Now that many schools are back in session, madatory COVID-19 testing for teachers and staff has begun. New York State mandates weekly testing of non-vaccinated employees as one of the safety measures for classroooms.

A clinic was held at NBT Bank Stadium Tuesday. Right now, the testing in Onondaga County is being provided free of charge.  Staff we spoke with say they’re confident districts are taking the proper precautions.

“I don’t feel nervous or unsure about the school year, I feel very positive about it. The district is working very hard to accomodate everyone and I see that happening. It’s difficult, but they are doing a good job,” said Kathleen Vogelsang, SCSD Student Support Services.

Masks are also required inside school buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
