Free Online Program January 29, 2020 at 7 Pm
Why do native plants matter? Join naturalist Morgan Elmore for an informal introduction to the beauty and benefits of native plants in the landscape, and artist Tim Rand who will talk about his pollinator artwork series Life is Sweet.
Morgan and Tim are working with us to develop Arts at the Palace’s parking lot pollinator garden and outdoor mural project, which we will also discuss.
Our Project:
Over the next year, Arts at the Palace will create a native plant garden next to the Palace Theater in downtown Hamilton. We’ll be inviting community members to collaborate with us in the following ways:
- Sharing plant information and deer resistance knowledge
- Sharing plant divisions
- contributing local photos of pollinators visiting native plants as a resource
- Planting and tending the garden
- Creating plant and pollinator name signage
To join us for the FREE January 29th online presentation and discussion via Zoom, please send an email with the subject line “native plantscape” to director@artsatthepalace.org. We look forward to seeing you online!
This program is free and open to all. If you have the means, please consider making a donation to help Arts at the Palace continue to cultivate the arts, culture, and community.
This program is made possible in part by grants from the Mid-York Foundation and the Central New York Community Foundation.
