National Endowment for the Arts Fellow to Present at Hamilton College

Reese (R.O.) Kwon, a National Endowment for the Arts fellow, will read excerpts from her first book, The Incendiaries, on Nov. 5, at 4 p.m., at the Dwight Lounge, Bristol Center, at Hamilton College. The event is free and open to the public.

Although The Incendiaries is Kwon’s first book, she has written other short works of fiction including: Safeword (2017), Helping (2014), and Legends of the Seoul Dogs (2012). Her short nonfiction work has appeared in The Guardian, Vice, San Francisco Chronicle, and BuzzFeed. A lot of Kwon’s work focuses on Korean identity, as she herself was born in South Korea, but spent most of her life in the United States.

Kwon has also received various recognitions from the Sewanee Writer’s and Bread Loaf Writer’s Conferences, and the MacDowell, Yaddo, and National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships.
