MVCC to host healing Sound Bath Experience

Mohawk Valley Community College will host a Sound Bath Experience at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Schafer Theater at its Utica Campus. Tickets, which cost $30 for the public, $20 for MVCC employees, and are free for MVCC students, are available for purchase at www.mvcc.edu/tickets

Sound healing practitioners Brynn and Dan of Source Sound Healing in Utica will lead this hour-long immersive meditative experience that will “bathe” attendees in soothing sounds and vibrations. Healing frequencies are produced using various instruments, including singing bowls, drums, and a gong. The goal of a sound bath is to feel deep relaxation, allowing the mind and body to recharge and the nervous system to reset. Participants should bring a yoga mat, blanket, and a pillow.
