The Mohawk Valley Community College School of Art will present the musical “Ride the Cyclone” by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 26 and 27, and at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in Michael I. Schafer Theater, Wilcox Hall, at MVCC’s Utica Campus. The production is directed by MVCC Instructor Tennille Knoop and produced by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing Global.

In this darkly hilarious and heart-stirring musical, six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir meet an untimely end in a freak roller coaster accident. They wake up in limbo and are given one last chance to sing for their salvation. Blending wit, humor, and haunting music, “Ride the Cyclone” is a thrilling journey through life, death, and the power of finding your voice.

MVCC’s Theater Arts AS degree program provides students with creative, technical, and performance skills in acting, writing, and directing, preparing them to enter the field or transfer to a four-year college.
