MVCC celebrates 75th Anniversary with events on Monday, Nov. 15

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Mohawk Valley Community College is holding several events on Monday, Nov. 15, at the Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive:

  • 75th Anniversary Plaque Dedication and Sealing of Time Capsule: 3:30 p.m. in the Quad in front of Payne Hall. Speakers will include Dr. Randall VanWagoner, MVCC President, and Tony Colón, Chair of the College’s Board of Trustees. At this time, the College will seal a 75th anniversary time capsule, which was put together by MVCC’s Institutional Advancement Office. The time capsule will be on display at MVCC’s Utica Campus until it’s opened in October 2046 to celebrate the College’s centennial anniversary.
  • John B. Stetson Board Room Naming: 3:45 p.m. in the third-floor lobby of Payne Hall. Speakers will include Dr. Randall VanWagoner, MVCC President; Tony Colón, Chair of the College’s Board of Trustees; and honoree John Stetson, MVCC Trustee Emeritus who served 23 years until his retirement in 2020.
