MVCC announces new hires, employee title changes, and promotions

Mohawk Valley Community College recently announced the following appointments, title changes, and promotions, approved by the Board of Trustees at its January meeting:

  • Mary Jane Parry, Interim Vice President for Administrative Services
  • Stephanie Roberts, Care and Well-being Coordinator
  • Yue Riesbeck, Instructor, Economics
  • Kayleigh Lallier, Instructor, Nursing
  • Suada Ikeljic, Director of Compliance
  • Richard Gloo, Instructor, Computer Science
  • Kyle Bradley, Instructor, Metal Fabrication
  • Kristen Beckwith, Instructor, Nursing

Mary Jane Parry has been named Interim Vice President for Administrative Services for the academic year through July 11, 2026. In this role, she will provide executive-level oversight and coordination of Information Technology, Public Safety, Institutional Research, and the Business Office to ensure stability and coordination of key administrative functions during a period of leadership transition. Parry has been a member of the College staff since 2003, most recently as the Executive Director of Information Technology. She holds associate degrees in Data Processing, Programming and Systems, and Business Management from MVCC and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, and Economics from Empire State College.

Stephanie Roberts has been appointed the Coordinator of Care and Well-being for the Office of Student Accessibility and Wellness. Roberts will provide case management services to students referred through the College’s behavioral intervention team, counseling services, and other wraparound support programs. She will coordinate resources and deliver holistic support to students facing personal, academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges that may impact their well-being and academic success. She will also coordinate wellness initiatives for the Office of Student Accessibility and Wellness and directly supervise the peer ambassador team. Roberts has worked in the Career Development Center at the College since 2021. She holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from MVCC and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Yue Riesbeck has transitioned into the role of Instructor of Economics in the School of Business and Hospitality. She will provide instruction, assist senior faculty in course revisions and curriculum writing, advise students, serve on College and departmental committees, and perform other appropriate professional obligations. Riesbeck has been with the College since 2018, most recently serving as a Career and Employer Relations Specialist in the Career Development Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the China University of Geosciences in Beijing, China; a master of arts degree in Linguistics Studies, and a master of science degree in Foundations of Education, and Media Management from Syracuse University; and an MBA in Technology Management from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Kayleigh Lallier has joined the Health Sciences faculty as a Nursing Instructor. Her responsibilities include instruction, support of senior faculty in course and curriculum development, student advising, service on College and departmental committees, and other appropriate professional duties. Lallier joined the College in March of 2025 as the Health Professions Resource Specialist after working for five years in the community as a Registered Nurse. She holds an associate degree in Nursing from MVCC and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn.

 

Suada Ikeljic has been appointed Director of Compliance in the Department of Administrative Services. Ikeljic will oversee and manage the College’s compliance program, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as College policies and procedures. She will provide leadership to ensure MVCC meets all external data/information compliance requirements for institutional-level reporting, including but not limited to, accreditation, grants, human resources, finance, institutional research, and other areas as necessary. She will also be responsible for identifying and managing potential compliance risks, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies to reduce exposure, ensuring the institution’s operational integrity. Ikeljic worked at BNY Mellon for 20 years, most recently as the Vice President, Business Planning and Support, Global Operation Control Management. She holds an associate degree in Office Technology from MVCC and a bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Management from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

 

Richard Gloo joins the School of STEM-Transfer as an Instructor of Computer Science. He will provide instruction, assist senior faculty in course revisions and curriculum writing, advise students, serve on College and departmental committees, and perform other appropriate professional obligations. He joins MVCC after 20-plus years with Assured Information Security, Inc., most recently as a Chief Engineer. He has also been an Adjunct Instructor at Utica University and MVCC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Telecommunication from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics from Utica University.

Kyle Bradley joins MVCC as an Instructor of Metal Fabrication in the School of STEM-Career. He will provide instruction, assist senior faculty with course revisions and curriculum development, advise students, serve on College and departmental committees, and carry out other appropriate professional duties. He is the owner of Bradley Artistic Design and has been an Adjunct Instructor teaching Welding at MVCC since 2009. Bradley holds an associate degree in Occupational Studies, Metal Fabrication, a Certificate in CNC Machinist Technology, and a Certificate in Welding Technology from MVCC.

Kristen Beckwith has joined MVCC as a Nursing Instructor in the School of Health Sciences. She will provide instruction, collaborate with senior faculty on course revisions and curriculum development, advise and mentor students, contribute service through participation on College and departmental committees, and fulfill other appropriate professional responsibilities. She has worked as a Registered Nurse at both Rome Memorial and Wynn Hospitals and has been an Adjunct Instructor at Utica University. She holds an associate degree in Psychology from MVCC, an associate degree in Nursing from St. Elizabeth College of Nursing, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Ill.
