Megan Thee Stallion Is Inspiring Students To Resume Their College

Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion has called all the plays that led her to success and rap stardom. —In the past, she has encouraged her fans to invest in Bitcoin, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and twerk until their heart is content through her work.

Recently the Houston native has inspired many to seek higher education and obtain those degrees by any means necessary. Following the rapper’s graduation from Texas Southern University (TSU) last week, the HBCU has noticed an increase in students wanting to return to their studies at the university.

Dr. Monica Rasmus, program director for TSU’s Health Administration program, told TMZ there has been an influx in re-enrollment of former dropouts.

Megan has demonstrated that our most profound dreams and personal goals, regardless of how different they are from the main objective, can be accomplished one day at a time. Evidently, due to her influence, many students are re-enrolled or seeking re-enrollment.

TSU is the place to be. There’s no confusion surrounding why scholars are now considering registering at the university; the HBCU has had quite the year.

Canadian rapper Drake shed a light on the HBCU by using the school’s name in the song titled “TSU” on his new Certified Lover Boy album.

Additionally, Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal’s son Shaqir O’Neal and daughter Amirah O’Neal both committed to play basketball for the TSU Tigers.

The university also made history this year. According to ESPN Stats, for the first time since the Associated Press (AP) poll era began in 1936, a men’s Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) team defeated a ranked Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent. — In this case, the TSU Tigers beat the University of Florida Gators.

TSU alum and Super Bowl Champion Michael Strahan went to space, dubbing it the “most magnificent” experience of his life, noting the experience was made possible because of the bright minds at institutions like TSU. — Additionally, Strahan donated new helmets to his alma mater’s football team.

And lastly, Thee Stallion graduated from the institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in health administration.

Rasmus also told TMZ former TSU students began reaching out to discuss returning to campus after the Houston rapper went public in 2020 about completing her studies while pursuing her rap career. Though she could not give a solid number of inquiries, Rasmus noted TSU undergrads and graduate students are requesting information on pursuing a degree in Health Administration —just like Meg.
