On December 19, 2024, between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m., the New York State Police Unmanned Aircraft System Detail will be hosting a multi-agency training with other local, county, and state first responder drone pilots.
This training will take place at the New York State Police Firearms range located in the area of 6095 Grant Hill Road in the Town of Guilderland.
One of the training topics is night flying, so the public should not be alarmed if they observe multiple drones in this area with their navigational lighting illuminated.
There is a Notice To Airman filed with the FAA regarding this training, and the public is advised not to fly any personal drones in the area of this training.
