In a letter sent to Mayor Robert Palmieri on Thursday morning, Councilman Joe Marino called on the Mayor to release the video from the Council Chambers of a Budget meeting on March 5, 2019.
Further, Councilman asked the Mayor for a full accounting of this politically motivated ‘investigation’. At the very least this will cost the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars.
Joe Marino said: “Rob Palmieri, is effectively forcing City of Utica taxpayers to be unwilling donors to the Palmieri for Mayor campaign by using the people’s money to fund his sensationalism, rumors and rhetoric. He owes the people of this City real transparency not just more lip service.”
“I am calling for Mr. Palmieri to release the video today and for him to stop hiding behind a politically motivated ‘investigation’ especially since scores of City Hall employees who work for the Mr. Palmieri have already viewed the tape. Let’s stop playing games with distractions and let’s get to real issues facing city residents like roads, taxes and term limits, anything less is insulting to the people.” Joe Marino said.
