Make-A- Wish ® to host fourth annual ‘Walk on the Wild Side’

 Family-friendly event to take place at Wild Animal Park, Chittenango 

 

Chittenango, N.Y. (June 15, 2017)—Make-A-Wish® Central New York is gearing up for its fourth annual family-friendly “Walk on the Wild Side” event held in honor of the Heitkamp Family. The fundraiser will take place Friday, July 14 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wild Animal Park on Lakeport Road in Chittenango.

 

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children two years of age and under. Admission includes access to The Wild Animal Park, shows and demonstrations, a welcome backpack with goodies (while supplies last), and dinner for ages 3 and older. The event also features $1 games, drawings, prizes, and more. New this year is a costume party – come dressed as your favorite animal and receive a special item!

 

Amy from 93Q will emcee the event and provide entertainment and giveaways, and local wish kid Caden Schmitt will be on hand to meet and greet attendees. Vendors will provide food stops and family-friendly activities during the event.

 

Located on 12 scenic acres just north of the Village of Chittenango, The Wild Animal Park is a zoo that provides a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about a variety of animals, including Bengal tigers, dromedary camels, American alligators, North American black bears, kangaroos, zebra, African crested porcupine, fallow deer, bobcat, badger, coatimundies, red and grey fox, macaws, monkeys, and more.

Walk on the Wild Side supports wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, and as such attendees are invited to create a fundraising page to help make wishes come true!  To create your page, go to walkonthewildside2017.kintera.org.
