Local Families Receive Support from Central Valley Student Volunteers

Students from Central Valley Academy and Jarvis Middle School recently volunteered at
the community-wide “Bunny Trail Event,” a free evening of family fun for the district. The
students were outstanding representatives of their schools, actively contributing to the
event’s success.
The event offered families valuable resources from community partners, free ice cream
courtesy of Stewart’s, an opportunity to participate in a Silent Disco, and an Easter
artwork creation station.
Twenty-seven students played various roles: some greeted families and directed them
along the Bunny Trail; others scooped ice cream and managed toppings; a group
helped children and adults with Easter art; and many engaged the crowd in the Silent
Disco, showcasing their best dance moves. One student even volunteered to be the
Connected Central Valley mascot, posing for pictures with families throughout the
evening. Their efforts not only helped the community but also greatly benefited the
event.
