Letter To The Editor: Janice Coleman

Like most Americans I believe that senior citizens should be able to retire and still have enough money to provide shelter and food for themselves as well as receive needed health services. Equally concerning is that senior citizens retain control over their own healthcare decisions.

Project 2025 will…

…move all Medicare recipients to Medicare Provider Plans which have provider networks that may not include your doctors. These plans also require prior authorization for services you require, however the service may not receive authorization.

… repeal the Inflation Reduction Act which lets Medicare negotiate for lower drug costs for you. This Act has already lowered the cost of ten expensive prescription drugs.

… increase the price of healthcare since Medicare Advantage Plans cost the government and taxpayers more than Original Medicare Plans.

Vote Democratic up and down the ticket and help Americans retain control of their own healthcare by continuing to offer Original Medicare Plans if that is what suits their needs, and cut health costs individually and nationally by retaining the Individual Reduction Act. Don’t hand control over your healthcare to corporations and the government.
