Lagrangeville family wins world record for light display

A New York family has made world records a holiday tradition, and they’ve done it again in 2021.

Tim and Grace Gay in Lagrangeville have broken the Guinness world record for the largest residential light display.

Their dazzling arrangement features more than 600,000 lights.

They’re all choreographed to 250 songs. They use the display to raise funds for local firefighters in charities. Last year, they raised more than $80,000.

This year’s display beats the family’s own previous record that they set in 2014.
